A missed opportunity: he could have met Rancid….ah, no, better stay in school.

Meeting Rancid might give him the motivation to do better in school.

I enjoyed “Take your child to work day!” Less people to deal with when I was at school!

Can’t say as I blame Wilberforce, who would want to spend all day in a Tea cosie factory ?

Is it? I don’t want to look it up.

Better not take Wilberforce to work with you. He might repeat some of the things you’ve said at home regarding that skinflint tightwad boss of yours.

Glad my dad never had a “take your kid to work” day. He worked in a tax office. So boring!

He’ll have the school all to himself.

Wilberforce just didn’t cozy up to the idea.

Wilberforce wants to get home before 5…

Today is also “National Hug A Plumber Day”, for those workers who happen to be childless.

Of course a extra special day for children of plumbers! Have fun cleaning the clogged toilets, kids.

Smart move by Wilberforce. That way, Veeblefester can’t hold his presence at work against our hero.

I went to work with my mother all during my first grade. She was my teacher. We never wanted to repeat that experience, again.

My son loved his ‘Take your child to work day’. To be fair, the company really went to town with them and had them do mini projects to demonstrate team working and competition (with the other teams) in what could have been a real life situation. In the afternoon, he spent time with me to see what I actually did. As a computer programmer, I introduced some deliberate bugs into my code and showed him how to find them and fix them, then to run some automated testing to show it worked. He loved being able to do proper work and learnt a lot that day. Hopefully other companies do as well. He remembers it even to this day after 15 years and a good day.

Wilberforce is wise behind his ears – err beyond his years.

Oh, dear. Wilberforce, you shouldn’t have hurt your father’s feelings like that.

In the end, even Scrooge softened up with Tiny Tim. Maybe Rancid is due for a ghostly visit.

More fun at school……

I can’t blame him.

May want to rethink this. Seeing Brutus’s work may be good incentive for Wilberforce to start some dotcom and sell it for a billion bucks so he never has to work for anyone like the Boss. Or at least study hard and get into professional school.

You know you are a loser when your child would rather go to school than to go with you to work for take your child to work day.

He’s heard enough about that toxic environment to know better.

I do miss taking my daughter to work with me once a year. Wilberforce should go, but I understand his misgivings.

Wilberforce is in training to be a Born Loser. He could have stayed home all day with his mom. It’s not like he would have to do any work. Just be with his mom at work.
