    Password audit

During a recent password audit, it was found that a blonde was using the following password:

    “MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofySacramento”

When asked why such a long password, she said she was told that it had to be at least 8 characters long and include at least one capital.

“Houdini refused, but the lock remains in use today.”

Imagine that! The lock remains in use today, despite the fact that Houdini refused to try and escape from it!

Dark Helmet: “1-2-3-4-5? That’s the stupidest combination I’ve ever heard of in my life! That’s the kinda thing an idiot would have on his luggage!”

    President Skroob: “1, 2, 3, 4, 5? That’s amazing! I’ve got the same combination on my luggage!”

Passwords are getting out of hand. Be nice if we could have a token card and a card reader for logons.

The whole concept of complicated passwords is ridiculous. Since all login systems will kick you out after a few bad guesses, it’s impossible to guess at them. Even the NIST agrees.

If the Harry Potter wand had ink in it, it would still be dangerous. After all, the pen is mightier than the sword.

You’re better off NOT changing your password regularly and instead using longer but easier to remember passwords. And multi factor authentication if it’s available to you

At least my passwords are easy to remember despite them being between 30 characters and 60 characters long, alphanumeric, upper/lowercase with special characters. Those passwords will take nearly a google to crack.

They are short stories (twabbles) that are based on many factors about me, life events, likes/dislikes, projects etc. No one will ever figure out my passwords as no one knows me as well as I know myself.
