Hopefully late. The gravy will be richer.

We call it “planning ahead”.

Interesting difference between “dinner” and “supper”. Historically, ‘dinner’ referred to the main meal served around the lunch hour, suited to the farming society’s needs. Work-intensive agricultural lifestyles meant that a substantial meal provided energy for the day’s labor. ‘Supper’, is related to the word ‘soup’, and was the light meal served in the early evening. During the 18th and early 19th centuries in America, a shift occurred where many working professionals couldn’t come home for midday ‘dinner’, leading to the evening meal evolving into ‘dinner’ and the lighter, earlier meal being termed ‘lunch’.

No problem …. Cook my own food ;-)

Dinner is whatever I make, Monday-Thursday. My wife cooks on the weekends.

I’m not in the mood to cook dinner these days. I’ve just been eating toast.

He wants to take “the little woman” out to eat!

I know when my favorite restaurant closes!

He must have ‘screwed up’ real bad at home because he doesn’t want two helpings of ‘cold tongue’ ! ! !! !

My dad was a plugger…when mom would ask him if he wanted lunch, he’d say “hmm…what time is it?”………….

I’m waiting for a Plugger strip from Jack’s brother Justin.
