Well, it’s good to know that Tracy doesn’t consider himself judge and jury, but it looks like Croptop is headed back to jail. The assault really cliches it.

Too bad, the story was moving along great until it’s screeching halt today.

The dialog in the 2nd panel is wrong.

It should read; “That money in the truck is ours. We dug it up fair and legal!”

Just sayin’

Hip hip hooray for another Sweatbox ending!

If this is the end, I give the story as a whole 2 goatheads.

Consolation prize if she is allowed to keep the money, minus paying for the dug up ground being restored and a fine for destruction of city propitty. That dough will keep her in cigs and concession items for some time.

Nice job of self-incrimination there, CropTop. How did you know there was money in the trunk? & you may want to reconsider your hiring practices, those two henchmen you recruited at random in a bar turned out to be beyond worthless when crunch time arrived. At least we’re getting a story when the villain doesn’t get away in the end for a change. I give today’s strip two & 1/2 stars.

No matter the outcome on the money that was dug up, Croptop is looking a good stretch in THE BIG HOUSE for assaulting a cop if nothing else…hopefully she’ll also get the rap for another armed bank robbery.

At least Blowtop will be happy if no one else…he’s still not the only member of his criminal family left alive….at least not yet.

I wonder if it would be " safe " to ask her out for a date ?

I guess her henchmen didn’t pitch in to help her fight Tracy?

Aw…Tracy even gave Croptop a temporary tattoo on her left shoulder.

Next: The banks give Croptop and her associates a large finder’s fee for locating that long-missing money, which they were on their way to return when their car stalled.

DT: Darn it! That hurt more than an actual kick to the bag…

I’m surprised that Mike did’t take a break in the story-line to say something about today being National Peace Officer Memorial Day

What? Old man Tracy subdued lithe, young Croptop with one punch? And where is her accomplice?

Croptop is right, the money is hers. The “finders keepers” law is the default backbone of American Jurisprudence. No one else has laid claim to it. When a miner strikes gold, it belongs to them.

Since she used the money from the bank robbery to buy the book with the clues leading to the buried money, would it be a crime for her to purchase the book with stolen money?
