Trump is asking special interests for an eye-popping fee in exchange for giving them explicit favors. Trump and the oil companies might argue (dubiously) that their preferred regime would actually be better for consumers, but they are cutting ‘the people’ out of the discussion entirely, subverting democracy. The deal gets done between Trump and the suits, behind closed doors. It’s a good reminder that Trump’s claim to being an outsider is a sham.

If I had been 27 years old and a 60-year-old man had approached me inappropriately, as Trump did Stormy, I would have reported it to my father. That would have resolved the situation, but not in a good way for the 60-year-old man. I sympathize with Stormy because it seems that she has faced many challenges on her path to adulthood and has done her best to cope with them. Women really need to help lift each other up and be supportive.
