there was just a fire like this on the freeway in Dallas on Monday the heat where the car was stuck so intense that all the fire department could do was wait and divert traffic (you can’t use water or foam on a lithium battery). Just as I was passing the lithium batteries exploded.
this morning’s news featured yet another segment about a vehicle catching fire, this time a truck transporting construction site waste and not a car (not an EV) bursting into flames on the freeway, as one did the other day. info about the fire source was not included, but i’ll venture a wild guess that workers had disposed of cigarette butts in one of the bags…
