6 hours so far this trip but Gene and Mary Lou’s wedding was 12 years ago in our world. There has been a lot of time to consider every angle already in their time frame
I noticed they are taking the same relative positions on the bed, Arlo lying to Janis’s left. Then I thought back… this is our fifth abode (fourth house) and all the way through we just naturally assumed the same locations except in the third one. That one was different because the other side of the bed was closer to the door.
That got real fast. I know the feeling. We have just about the perfect place to live, and we can easily afford to stay here. But recently, it became worth a LOT of money. Leave this place and go through finding a new place and moving, or become a multi-millionare, which sounds good but you’re at the age when you can’t or don’t want to do the things the money would buy. I think not, until we just can’t keep up with this place, which isn’t so very far down the road, if that bruise on my foot from struggling to get off the tractor is any indication.
“NOAA is forecasting a range of 17 to 25 total named storms (winds of 39 mph or higher). Of those, 8 to 13 are forecast to become hurricanes (winds of 74 mph or higher), including 4 to 7 major hurricanes (category 3, 4 or 5; with winds of 111 mph or higher). Forecasters have a 70% confidence in these ranges.”
The kids have been wanting A and J to move near them for a long time. Why would Janis wonder if they would sell them the guest house? They’d probably give it to them.
My wife’s sister in law wanted to move to the UK a few years back when her husband retired until they spent a week of winter there. She likes Louisiana just fine now.

Planning ahead, even if you only visit during the summers, or winters.

Lets see what happens if Janis runs across snakes or a gator.

Janis should have buried the lede until post coitus.

I’m with Arlo. I like variety and novelty, but sudden changes and surprises are a shock to my system.

Janis cannot help it. Without control she is adrift in life. Roll over Arlo and go back to Your dreams of retirement.

I know she wants to live close to her son, but the Guest House? Why not just move in with the kids and be done with it?

Boring. More Luddie less Janis.

You’ve been thinking about moving since your trip to the condo.

Hold that thought, at least until the Autumn.
