You don’t have to learn from the lesson. You should learn that from Spud.

The life lesson here is how to be smarter about helping a friend out.

Also, you were probably getting detention for those answers on your own Wallace, all your help did was drag Spud along with you.

First time I heard that was from an old veteran sgt sitting on (in?) his overturned steel helmet (with liner). He looked at me with a gap-toothed grin and said “Son, you never STOP learning.” Snuffy was a treasure. God rest him.

Looks like seagull still is still scant.

Wallace’s little face in the middle panel looks a lot like Will Henry’s self portrait. Just sayin’..

Maybe it’s time Wallace learn that sometimes you help a friend by telling them, “No”.

Like when you take away the keys from a drunk.

Someone who asks you for help in breaking the rules of a system fairly testing your capabilities is NOT a friend. This is how you wind up testifying before a grand jury, which won’t be giving you a loyalty test.
