I’ll buy a 3-d printer when somebody makes one that can make fresh, warm chocolate chip cookies!

What’s online now? You never want to buy a house (that you plan to live in) without checking it in person.

And running the water in each tap, and watch it going down the drain. Check and smell basement and attic, etc.

I once looked at a house that had food cooking in a crock pot (smelled great!) and the TV on and cranked up. It was right next to a highway. I passed.

My Mom never braked bread, or cookies for that matter. No wonder we never sold the house.

Lots of stuff is done online, but who would buy a house without seeing the house in person?

I doubt a Real Estate salesperson bakes cookies in the kitchen, since it’s kind of messy, and by the time you clean it up, the smell is gone.

One thing they actually do is refer to the house they want to sell you as “your home,” and the one you’re moving out of as “this house.”

I was online and a notice came up for me to “accept cookies”, so I did. I’m still waiting for them to arrive. Wonder what kind they’ll be?!

You bake cookies at an open house for a property you are listing. You don’t bake cookies at a house you’re showing, because that means you represent the buyer and you have no right to bake anything in the seller’s oven.

Just one of many nuances about selling real estate that most people don’t understand, although everyone now wants to weigh in about the industry and give hot takes on the incredibly complex changes occuring now and in the future. And all of them more impactful than where you bake your cookies!

Most homes are staged as well, to squeeze out a few more thousand from people with more money than imagination.

I believe they use scented candles now. You can buy candles that smell like cookies baking

Just don’t burn the cookies. That smell is hard to disperse.

The first house we ever bought was an early-20th century farm house walking distance from town. We walked in and the homeowner had, if I remember, apples and cinnamon simmering on the stove. I would have moved in on the spot if we could. We did buy that great little house and I cried for hours when we sold it a couple of years later.
