You may have found the car, Crunchy, but I’m sure it has changed hands a few times in the last fifty years.

Disco wasn’t a thing in 1971. We were still in late hippie days. Disco hit the scene around 1975-1976.

Joe! Joe!! Joe!!! You don’t “update” a CLASSIC CAR!!! You restore it, carefully, prayerfully & to it’s factory-fresh, customized glory!!! Update the upholstery, egads, what next??? Paint it grey & put white upholstery in it!?!?!?

Wouldn’t ’71 be more like late Hippie rather than early Disco? Too early for the ubiquitous red, white and blue of the Bi-Centennial, or bearded Faux Frontier era.

I think it’s more likely that he found the guy who bought his car from the guy who bought his car, from the guy who stole his car.

Probably the same guy who stole Clarence’s trash bins.

Would Crunchy settle for a Black Trans-Am with Georgia plates?
