You would think by now anyone with half a brain would know or look up what the crime was. You would think that Trump being a brave and truthful man would have testified to truth, for the truth will set you free.

I guess Baghdad Bok hadn’t been paying attention to the trial and had been paying more attention to the Fox propaganda.

Is and has always has been; Falsifying business records with the intent to violate federal campaign finance limits, unlawfully influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election, and commit tax fraud.

His lawyers knew, just as when he wanted to testify in the Mueller investigation, that Trump would not be capable of speaking the truth and not perjuring himself. And they want to make the man who can’t testify without lying the most powerful person in the world.

Yes, the crime was “theft”, on the part of Michael Cohen. Or, as the Democrats like to call it, “rebalancing”.

Bok can play dumb all he wants. In fact, it isn’t much of a stretch.

Trump faces 34 felony charges of falsifying business records with the intent to commit or conceal other crimes relating to payments made to pornographic film actress Stormy Daniels to ensure her silence about a sexual encounter between them.

Falsifying business records is a felony. Trump and his cult can deny the crime all they want, but the law applies to everyone.

My nightmare is that the jury in the case he is currently facing will accept the idea that “legal expenses” in Trump’s records doesn’t not constitute fraud, and declare him innocent. After all, whatever you are paying a lawyer is “legal expense”, even if you are paying him to do something illegal. If he would be found innocent on this charge, which is the least serious of the charges against him, the general population would only hear the one word, and fail to realize that he is charged with about 90 other things, all of which are so backed with fact that he is undeniably guilty.

And, if he is found innocent on this relatively minor offense, he is more likely to be elected president by those who respond with " Well, gosh, he wasn’t lying when he said they were just out to get him!!" And, the really bad charges against him will be dismissed because he demands it. Then he will start a dictatorship which will guarantee that he will do whatever is needed to maintain him in that position, including jailing those who are currently pressing charges against him.

I guess Mr. Bok (as well as the right wing Trump enablers) don’t understand how court works. When you are indicted, the prosecution must state the crime and the specific charges. It is public information. The crime is: Mr. Trump covered up payments to Stormy Daniels by claiming they were payments to Mr. Cohen for legal services. Falsifying business records to cover that up makes it a felony under New York State law.

You may disagree with the merits of the case, but that is what court is for. It’s now up to the jury to decide that.

What floors me is that whether he is guilty or not, how is this not hurting him with his fans? He has shown a complete contempt for the justice system and he wants to be president.

No, the 34-count indictment did that. The judge will instruct the jury how to apply the law to the evidence in considering the charges.

The notion that Trump is somehow being mistreated in all of this is just a joke.

Pretty sure it’s been made very clear as to what the crimes were.

Remember, Traitor Trump’s main defense on everything is he should be allowed to crime, because an antiquated Electoral College made him president for years. Traitor Trump being an incompetent president was something he did all on his own.
