Or had a lunchbox deal for that sweet little moppet. She could have something marketable, like a rag doll with one button eye missing, as a delusional prop that advises her to enter into mischief. Oh, the fun we might have had!
I see a couple of new readers here, but my subscriber numbers continue to drop. The new people must be hanging around to watch something akin to those “agony of defeat” clips. ABC’s Wide-World of Sports.
The video on Frog Blog about Jack Paar is interesting, and if you watch on YT, the one that follows of his guest appearance on Letterman in ’83 is also: Jack has a surprise for Dave at the very end.
The comics have always been a bit apart from the mainstream, kind of a quirky eddy, or aneurysm, if you will, to distract us from the humdrum. (Isn’t that a great word?) Now, we live in a place and time where the Katzenjammers have taken over the mainstream of politics and business. For me, the comics are more vital and important than ever. (I admit it, I’m older now.) Truly, I come to GC every day for Ms. T’s comedy stylings…Sorry, Teresa, I complimented you again. I’ll try to watch that in the future.
The Hallowed Halls of Lame are splattered with the Plumage of your stabbiness, like some dot to dot Yayoi Kusama. It allows an aimless wandering in a world rife with a vacuum of beingness. Stab away dear Stabbi-Wan-Froggie. I, for one, prefer to dance without my pretty pink head.

I, for one, am glad you never gave up. I would have been reduced to reading Bizarro for my daily lameness.

Plenty of comics had no punchline or appeared pointless. There are a few I could name, but I am in the Witless Protection Program.

I’ve been ‘reading’ the comics since before I actually could read. Didn’t miss a day. The better part of century later… oh who am I kidding?

To be fair an eye patch would look totally baller.

uh… hasn’t being stabbed in the eye been the theme of several of your comics since then?

Despair not, Teresa. You’ve chosen the right path, little grasshopper.
Not even your faithful followers can appreciate and discern your wit and wisdom every day, though, like a steer, we can but try …

I could stop reading comics, but then I would have to find something else to do with my time.

The joy of reading Frog Applause and commenting is like participating in a Pinter play!
Some audiences just don’t get it but it’s a great stretch for the actors.

I “read” the comics (not this one) before I could read, making up my own punchline.
I think they inspired me to want to know what the words were, although I think I liked my own punchlines better.Lawrence Palletti Premium Member 6 months ago
Teresa, you don’t know me. But you and I go back to Shoecabbage. I’m worth at least three newcomers.

I have a gray tree frog outside my window. I thought it was a leopard frog, but I checked the data online to compare their calls. It’s pretty neat.
