Discussion on B.C. today about the length of time between stardom and has-been. It would seem RS is trying to buck the trend.
They began the year my sweet blue eyed girl and I married and they lasted a pretty long time. But, typically, music and times, and attitudes changed and thousands of other top talents superseded them. But it never hurts to try to ‘educate’ a new audience. Good luck to them.
I say MORE POWER TO’EM‼️ If they’ve still got the stamina to even GO on tour, much less perform on that tour, then good for them! (That, plus I love me some Stones, always have!)
I call the music performed by the bands my age and up, “Geezer Rock” and I proudly claim them. They’re working harder than I am.Mick Jagger can’t retire, he’s got too many kids to pay for.

Have we thought enough about what kind of world we’re going to leave behind for Keith Richards to live in?

Their Steel Wheelchair Tour was fabulous. I saw it at the Rest Home my mother was in.

There is no way that they could have done all the drugs they were accused of doing in the ’60’s and still be alive today.

Many years ago, The Firesign Theater referred to a Rolling Stones’ “Iron Wheelchair Tour”.
