Our Feisty will lie on our bed before we turn in for the night, at my husbands side. She’ll assume a pose for pets, but will start playing rough when my husband will try to pet her. With claws and teeth.
It might seem cruel with a cat’s way of playing (using their claws) and it usually involves teaching manners to their kittens – and dogs or puppies that get in their space.
My mother rescued a tiny, starving kitten someone dumped at her house. Her Boston Terrier seemed to think it was a puppy and they got along great. The cat would run up to the Boston, bat its nose a few times, and take off running. They’d then chase each other around the house. The Boston recently passed from old age (between 13 and 14, he was well cared for) and the cat still misses him, as does my Mom.

If you don’t have hanging shredded skin and flesh, it’s play.

Okay, you’ve had your “play”. Now it’s my turn – I’ll just pin you down and chew on you.

That’s how cats play, though.
…yeah, I don’t know how they survive it either.

I’d like to see Sofie carry the cat around in her mouth while drooling all over the cat.
