Where was this book when I needed it?

Ah, c’mon. A little hard work never killed anyone. But why take the chance?

I never run away from hard work. I sit and watch it.

Who would have guessed that Cliff could write a how-to book? The cover of his book should be a picture of Maynard G Krebs yelling “Work!?” (Maynard’s middle name was actually “Walter”, with the “G” being silent.)

Do they have this book on Amazon?

Reminds me of a Dorothy Parker book review. “This is not a book to be tossed aside lightly; it should be thrown with great force.”

Page 2 reads: “Remember – having children is hereditary. If your parents didn’t have children, you won’t either.”

Saw this on social media: you find it offensive, I find it funny. That’s why I’m happier than you.

Ha – my wife recently discovered Tubi and Pluto… we’ve watched a few tv episodes from the 50’s/early 60s and Maynard G Kreps was a guest on the Danny Thomas Show (before Dobie Gillis and Gilligan.)
