The western heat wave.

I’ve seen that happen on Brooklyn streets in midsummer weather. (Well, no horses, but shoes sunk and stuck in the asphalt.) I fear it’ll be happening more in coming years.

Made me think of those water illusions you sometimes see ahead of you on a road.
