Too bad she didn’t add raisins. You don’t need sugar if you have something else sweet in the cookie. Many desserts have way too much sugar and it could easily be cut down by at least half or more. I make banana bread without any added sugar and it’s very good.
Lonely feeling deep inside, find a corner where I can hide, silent footsteps crowding me, sudden darkness but I can see, no sugar tonight in my cookie, no sugar tonight in my tea.
Now, to be far, I’ve heard of oatmeal cookies with no sugar because something else was used, like carrots. But, to just forget the sugar is a real problem.
Been there, done that, have the T-Shirt. The wife made a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving one year and forgot the sugar. It is now known as Pucker Pie in the family instead of pumpkin pie.
I recall a comedian looking at the ingredients of something made of oatmeal – and listing all the bad ones to encourage you to eat the one good one – oats
Okay, she isn’t being quite as kind as you thought, Brutus. Try the cookies anyway, because you can’t lose. If you don’t like them, you’re justified in saying so. If you do like them, you’ve found a new healthier treat, and Gladys can feel proud of herself.

The cookies would probably taste a little flat without any sugar.Time for a quick trip to Dairy Queen in my book.

Not to worry Gladys, I’ve done something similar. Like forgetting to put yeast in the bread dough and trying figure out why it didn’t rise.

I would throw some honey on them, if concerned for my health, cheese and jam, covered in honey if I weren’t.

Hopefully she didn’t confuse salt for sugar. Which would be on brand for Gladys’s culinary “expertise.” Better be careful on that first bite Brutus.

Well, since they’re sugar-free she can use them as dog biscuits.

I bet they get thrown in the garbage. Oatmeal cookies without sugar and raisins. Not good.
