Oh. So Batton Thomas has a wife? The character has been around for over five years. Why is this the first time we’re reading about her? Did she divorce Batton because he never matured? Was she the loser of the unfortunate question, “Choose me or your comic book collection? You can’t have both.” Did she die from cancer or drive off a cliff because she had CTE? Is she a P.O.W. in Afghanistan?

What the heck, Yabtui, … I mean Batton Thomas. Your prom date looks nothing like your wife Cathy Batiuk. What’s up? Did you have a crush on another girl while you were dating Cathy? Do you stalk them on Facebook? Did you dump this chick for Cathy? Does Dan Davis not know what Cathy Batiuk looks like because you’ve never introduced the two to one another? Did Dan Davis draw his own wife or mother? Did he draw a model from an old Sears Roebuck sales catalog? Inquiring minds want to know.
