I’m just thinking, he might regret one part of this decision, with it being fall/winter and all. However, putting the details in his painting was probably a lot less painful and much easier this way.
Reminds me of a statue Rodin did of himself that is in our local gallery. He’s middle-aged, fat, and naked. Of course he endowed himself with a large member.
Mad Magazine #226 Oct 1981 – The late Stan Hart (1928-2017) wrote ‘Too Gross for Comfort’, in which Ted’s youngest daughter was going to do a so-called nude photo shoot, however it turns out the pictures were of her hands; the photographer was the one who was naked.
One time a lady I worked with was looking at the bulletin board where we worked on campus. She said she wanted to find something to make a little money for her summer projects. So I pointed out the art department “help wanted” flyer looking for models, “draped and undraped.” I expected a sarcastic retort, but instead, she just stared off into space for several seconds, then said “No, I couldn’t do that.”
I wondered if she was really considering it, or having a flashback to an interesting past episode. Never did find out.

The people that go to the exhibition of nude art might be disappointed, too. Or they might be relieved.
