Aren’t all kids special? I prefer individualized education as a term. The term “special” is sometimes misunderstood as not being required to follow rules that apply to everyone on general, the expectation that everyone you come in contact with must adjust to you and that you are not required to respect the standards and expectations that everyone else is held to.

This could be fun! Don’t they try to mainstream most kids now? Special needs kids can be wonderfully special in several ways.
