Love the Reading (pronounced “redding”) Terminal Market in panel 2! Below an old train station, it has many food stalls, many run by the Amish. The train station has been repurposed as the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The train station was moved underground at the front of Reading Terminal and originally named Market East. Naming rights were bought by Jefferson Health, and it’s now known as Jefferson Station.
I wonder when people stopped thinking of the message as a “fortune” and more as a “prediction”. Was it when they started including lucky numbers to bet with?
Sorry, Journey, but I stopped believing when the restaurant ran a drawing for a trip to the Orient, my fortune said “You are headed in the right direction” (I was facing the Orient), my wife’s said “Pack your bags for a long trip,” and we didn’t win.

Gotta be a prank. Crunchy doesn’t seem the type to read fortune cookies. He must ha be slipped in a ‘loaded’ one.

If you don’t open your fortune cookies and read them, it’s bad luck.
