I can identify with Wynn after several layoffs in my career. Last one I was the only EE keeping their product development going. The department was eliminated a few months later.
I pay attention to what those who write for a living use for a pen (no keyboards), fountain pens are very popular with them. Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam uses Calligraphy pens when he writes, I bet most people do not know that.

Wynn Wilson won in the end by finding steady work elsewhere. Sometimes perceived “bad news” turns out well in retrospect.

Reminds me of The Winter of the Cartoonists graphic novel. Its about real men who defied the newspapers to keep and publish their own comics in 60’s.
