I wouldn’t mind a chance to start over, as long as I could avoid the mistakes I made in this life and just make new ones.

The problem with reincarnation is that you don’t get to keep your memories, so you REALLY don’t learn anything from your past lives.

“You live two lives: the first you make your mistakes, the second you fix them.” “I’ll worry about it later then.” “You fail to understand. This is your second life.”

What good is reincarnation? Same as any other “afterlife” – to allow people to delude themselves that they’re so important that the universe couldn’t possibly continue without them.

The other problem with reincarnation is you don’t get to choose what you reincarnate to.

Reincarnation is a nice belief… … and if it is a world wide practice… with the population growing the way it is… wouldn’t more than one person be a reincarnation of just one someone now long gone?? like twins, or quads, or whatever hundreds of the same person be called??? And if most sane people don’t have memories of that person… what’s the point?

Reincarnation might happen or not. Since your memory is wiped there’s nothing that differs having a fresh or a used soul. So ignore it and just live. There’s so much to experience and to do no matter your situation – make the best of it.
