The problem with the waiter’s “union” is that for many businesses, waiting tables is an entry-level position and staffed by people who either aren’t interested in really working or are looking for a better job.
My wife and I rate restaurants on two things food and speed of service (a lot depends on the kitchen, too) and retention of the waitstaff. There are several restaurants in town that have the same waitstaff for years. These also seem to be the ones with the best food and service, so I think there might be a relationship there.
Yes, we do pay attention to “the little people.” Dinner is a lot more fun when you can joke with the people who are around you. Knowing little things like what school they are going to or what they are majoring in is nice. My wife is nurse, God forbid we get a nursing student.
I was once a member of the Bartenders and Waitress’ Union. I worked part time payed my dues but got no benefits. The only ones that make out being in a union is the leadership who get a salary and benefits a lot larger than the highest paid working member.
I understand why people love Snoopy. I love him myself. He’s just ungrateful most of the time, and this is not even the most extreme example! Poor Charlie Brown…

Snoopy sure has a nose to detail. Was his supper dish made in China?

He got his supper at the right time, right on the nose.

What’s Snoopy going to do? Call in a anonymous tip to the waiters union hotline?

I’ve seen dogs that can eat a treat balanced on their nose, but I’m not sure Snoopy can do that with his supper. He might eat the bowl too.

Snoopy has some great balance if he can hold that dish on his nose like that.

For anyone who does not understand, if Snoopy even slightly moves now, his food is going to waste. Unless he uses the five second rule.
