Ah yes, the gusano de maguey larva found in the bottles of some Mezcal. That stuff gave me the worst hangover after only 1 drink. Never touched it again.

Re your editorial comic, Mr Summers: why not compare what Walz said to vance’s “I’ll make stuff up to support my cause. Stop eating cats!” (I paraphrase)

There is an animal that eats coffee cherries and poops out fermented coffee beans, which some people make into coffee they enjoy. Since the ‘worm’ eats the mescal I wonder if its poop is naturally fermented tequila. Anyone want to test this theory? Why not, people eat (swallow) the worm?
