Years back, there was a National Geographic article on people who. are allergic to cats. The author said “Don’t let your cat onto your furniture or bed” and I laughed out loud. The writer obviously never was owned by a cat. “Let” them on the bed… riiiiiiiiiight…
After my husband died last January, when I came home, both cats jumped up onto my lap when I sat down. They’d never done that before, and they stayed for hours. I think they knew.
Cats are plenty busy creating wood designs on furniture and door frames, keeping you aware of time, esp. feeding time, And batting things under the couch. Mine are particularly good at playing with sun beans, giving me head butts, and purring in my lap. They make me happy, and I hope I make them happy. My pets make my life better

In Ancient Egypt, they were worshiped as gods — And they have terribly long memories. So, what should you expect?

Oh, believe me – they do a lot! Mainly keep us sane…

I’d comment but I came up with bupkis.

My cat was a great mouser. Has Luddie ever caught a mouse?

Had to look up BUPKES. ‘Nothing:Bupkes is a Yiddish term that means “nothing” or “the least amount”’ Thanks Jimmy J.

Our house-cat bangs her little head
against the storm door window pane
She forgets that it’s a barrier
At the edge of her domain
She really wants that chipmunk
Or those birds so close at hand
But she’s an indoor kitty
We won’t give in to her demand

But how do you know when they’re done?
scinticat about 2 months ago
It’s is said the average house cat sleeps 16 hrs a day, 18 if it is a good day.
If we all did “nothing “ as well as cats, the world would be a calmer and more peaceful place.

What about zoomies? our ninja kitty gets the zoomies twice a day. So much action in a small package.

“The Cat” — by Ogden Nash
“You get a wife, you get a house,
Eventually you get a mouse.
You get some words regarding mice,
You get a kitty in a trice.
By two a.m. or thereabouts,
The mouse is in, the cat is out.
It dawns upon you, in your cot,
The mouse is silent, the cat is not.
Instead of kitty, says your spouse,
You should have got another mouse."
