Since Detroit got eliminated, I’ve lost interest. Maybe next year. So Bucky, go ahead and change the channel and find some figure skating.

Baseball is just too slow and football is all about adjudication. A soccer match though is fun to watch and great to play. I need to find an octogenarian league….sigh….

Baseball on tv is slow to watch sometimes, but playing it as kids was great fun!

The poor patrons who go to these must go bankrupt on food and drink. I think it’s all planned. Back in the day, games didn’t last that long.

If it weren’t for beer, baseball would have died years ago.

Although I generally love the game, especially when I used to play it in my younger days, I have to agree with Bucky on this one.

Baseball. The sport where the starting players spend half of the game sitting around doing nothing. The backups living easy.

If the game is too slow for a cat, it’s REALLY slow.

Watching Baseball is just watching two guy play catch. Not very exciting but leaves you plenty of time to go grab a drink and something to munch on. Only been to a few Pro games in my life. A little better in person, but not much. More fun to play the game with your friends.

Thinking and strategizing take time. And those are key components of baseball. It’s all good.

American football on TV: About three hours long with 10 minutes of action, 45-60 minutes of commercials, and the rest replays and analysts yakking. Plenty of time for emptying the bladder of a 12-pack.

Back when MTV still played music on occasion, I always thought they had way too many commercials in a commercial break. My suspicions were confirmed when they went to a commercial and I was able to watch an entire half-inning of baseball before they came back to the regular program

baseball is NOT the most BORING game on television, however…that falls to golf which is for old men who find watching grass grow much too enervating…

And soccer, what Europeans refer to as “football”, might be interesting if they trebled the number of players and reduced the size of the field upon which it’s played 50 % – though I really enjoy the all too few times when failed local community theater actors fall to the ground holding their shins and pretend to be “injured”… It’s been repeatedly proven that it’s much more dangerous to be in the stands, watching than on the field – playing…

Things have gotten better since the pitch clock. Used to be 3.5 hours, now it’s down to about 2.5.
