I’m 78 and all my life, math has been a hundred times more helpful than history.

OK, but you do know I teach Humanities and this was an Anthropology test, right?

This would not work for math but I expect it is working for most of the Social Sciences. Sad to say.

If you represent the sciences as a target, math is the bull’s eye.

Instead of S.T.E.M. it’s STUMP

If those beliefs are really so “deeply held”, it shouldn’t make any difference if they’re marked correct or not.

Employers love people who can’t do math. They will work you 80 hours a week for $30,000 a year.

I used to have a sign in my office: Then Satan said, “Let’s put the alphabet in math.”

HIs “truth” is that the answers he wrote as correct. To mark them incorrect will result in a lifetime of trauma and feelings of inadequacies and failure.

Don’t forget, it’s racist too. Seriously, that claim has been made.

Give him a Participation Trophy and say bye.

We now live in an era in which objective truth is considered a vile Western concept, and where each person’s subjective truth is equally valid as all others.

Here comes another future lawyer.

Math is racist

It’s the new math, the new math, it won’t do you any good to review math.

It’s so simple, so very simple, that only a child can do it.
