Now, are they wishing Jesus had sibs so that they could share the joys of Christmas, or are they wishing it because it would mean Christmas would come more than once a year?
Christmas has been coopted by Capitalism. It seems that media of all sorts are responsible for putting the Capitol in Capitalism.
So it Christmas both a secular holiday where greed and selfishness prevail and a religious one for those who choose to celebrate it that way where compassion and love are emphasized.
I know that to Christians, Easter is the central holiday of the religion.
However, I fancy the incarnation. That God would wish to become one of us is a heck of a celebrity endorsement for our kind. Let’s hope that we can live up to it.
Jesus had several siblings. 4 brothers (James, Joseph, Jude and Simon), plus at least 2 sisters whose names we don’t know. Mark 6:3, also Matthew 13:55.

If I recall correctly, according to Mathew and Mark, he had four brothers. Can’t remember their names though.

The problem is far deeper than whether Jesus had brothers. Spare me your reciting of the bible. references.

Please try to remember: Jesus (the one and only) is the reason for the season (but NOT for all the crass commercialism that came into being)……

I wonder if Joseph was an honorary member of the Order of the Perpetual Virginity of Mary

I used to wear out the pages on the Sears wish book every year. Each page dog eared and circled.
