Eighteen years ago I was pretty much the way I am now, except not as slow or forgetful.

It doesn’t help Red One’s box office receipts that it’s already available to watch on streaming. It’s unlikely, but it could already technically be profitable; we’ll never know about it. (Then again, the way Hollywood bookkeeping goes, I’m not sure Amazon will either.)

I don’t know about anyone else, but I am over seeing any movie with Dwayne Johnson in it. Basically plays the same guy in every movie and it’s getting stale.

To be fair, that could be said for most of Hollywood actors/actresses these days. All one trick ponies.

If we take inflation into account, Over the Hedge made $63,272,502 in 2024 dollars on its opening weekend, and $255,131,058 over all.

I have one question, though. What happened to Hammy’s spleen?

If everyone was like we were 18 years ago, they just had to see it on the big screen!

“Red One”? Does that have anything to do with Red and Rover?

Hmm. I haven’t been paying attention to Hollyweird. What’s a Red One?

Movies are so expensive. How do they afford to keep making them?

Speaking of movie. Where are the rest of them. Stella, those porcupines, Ozzie, Heather. Also movie would make us believe they only met when RJ came to the suburbs while in comic rj and verne were frenemies from the get go. Just another lousy comic book adaptation i guess

with all the sequel and remake fever in Hollywood, it’s hard to understand why there hasn’t been an “Over The Hedge 2”

I had no idea there was a movie! I’m watching it tonight. It has to be more entertaining than 60 Minutes!

The $38.5M in 2006 dollars is the equivalent of about $60M today. Just sayin’.

To each his own, but Red One is alright, but I would have been upset if I had paid to see it.

Reportedly, $50 million of that was because Dwayne Johnson regularly arrived on set 7-8 hours late.

We are overdue for a sequel. Hollywood sure doesn’t seem to have any better ideas. Make it a live action with 3D CGI characters.

We saw “Over the Hedge” in the movies; then we saw it on a plane heading to Europe to see relatives; and then we took the relatives to see it in Dutch in the south of Holland. Never understood why it didn’t get another story.

I just wish someone could negotiate a deal with the heirs of Walt Kelly’s estate. I’d love to see a movie animation of POGO, especially the story line surrounding the 1953-1954 series regarding Senator Joe McCarthy.
