I see Spud didn’t realize he’d misinterpreted the arm measurements until sometime after he’d already completed the sleeves. That implies he was sitting there knitting, watching both sleeves just get longer and longer and kept thinking “this is fine” when it clearly wasn’t. :P

That’s what happens when you use information off the internet without checking it. Spud thought it was a sweater pattern, but it was actually a straitjacket. It was probably written “straight jacket” in true internet style.

Made a sweater for a long-armed adult—thought it would never end, but it fits right.
