Edgar finally takes a Farley job. Farley did the same thing with Elizabeth and Michael when they were younger and felt the same way. I guess Edgar finally got around to reading those instructions Farley left.

Betcha my fellow posters have personal stories about the loving relationships they had with their dogs. I’d love to read them.

    I adore dogs—they’re NEVER judgmental or self-pitying.

When furry family members are given love, they return it a thousand fold .

I’d love to have a dog, but my allergies won’t tolerate the idea. (Tried twice, both times, ending up with severe hives and constant sneezing.) However, my parrot can really perk me up when he lands on my shoulder and burbles at me. <3 <3 :)

It takes a little patience but cats can be the same way if they love you.

My dog’s name was Rosie. I had her for 11 1/2 years before she died of bone cancer. I will miss her forever.

Do teenage girls really get upset when someone comes by, cheers them up, and ruins a “perfectly bad mood”? I, for one, would have been mighty grateful to have someone, or something, like that in my life

Well, I lay my head on the railroad track

    Waiting on the double E

But the train don’t run by here no more

    Poor, poor pitiful me

    Poor, poor pitiful me

    Poor, poor pitiful me

Oh, these boys won’t let me be

    Lord, have mercy on me

    Woe, woe is me

Well, I met a man out in Hollywood

    Now I ain’t naming names

Well, he really worked me over good

    Just like Jesse James

Yes, he really worked me over good

He was a credit to his gender

Put me through some changes, Lord

Sort of like a waring blender

    Poor, poor pitiful me

    Poor, poor pitiful me

Oh, these boys won’t let me be

    Lord, have mercy on me

    Woe, woe is me

Well, I met a boy in the Vieux Carres

    Down in Yokohama

He picked me up and he threw me down

He said, “Please don’t hurt me, mama”

    Poor, poor pitiful me

    Poor, poor pitiful me

Oh, these boys won’t let me be

    Lord, have mercy on me

    Woe, woe is me

    Poor, poor, poor me

    Poor, poor pitiful me

    Poor, poor, poor me

    Poor, poor pitiful me

    Poor, poor, poor me

    Poor, poor pitiful me

How about get to work on the project germane to Romeo & Juliet, let alone your other schoolwork? Don’t make the same mistakes as your brother.

When it came to Rhetta, Michael shat where he ate.

Elizabeth feels lower than a Canada dollar.

Oh well, time to crack open the textbooks. John and Elly may be wondering why they even bother paying taxes if Elizabeth is not learning anything at the government-run school.

If Elizabeth does not get to work, soon she will another reason to mope.

There would be a strip where all of Elizabeth’s classmates are wearing caps and gowns and celebrating by throwing their mortarboard hats in the air. All except Elizabeth, who is watching from the sides, looking sad as she is holding a report card of straight Fs.

Elizabeth that is what family dogs do is give you comfort.I remember several decades ago when I was a kid, I said or did something my mom did not like, she swatted me, we had a small Chihuahua and did not take much for, we called Pistol, to jump on my lap and I said at least you love me, my mom had to go in the kitchen as she almost started to laugh.

Yeah, they always have a way of making you feel good OR feeling very guilty for pushing them away. Then you then grab and hug them for treating them bad after seeing those big dog eyes. Mission accomplished again for the family dog

We have 4 dogs, all rescues and different sizes. One is a small terrier, she’d been abused and was terrified. That was 10 years ago, “Rat” is never far from my side now and the love that she gives is irreplacable.
