Amazing logic?

The best are the Collin Street fruitcakes in our opinion.

In one Pickles episode, he used fruitcake to fill a pothole.

That fat SOB that eats the tray that snacks come on, won’t eat good fruitcake ? And surely ONE of them was great. Even Wally isn’t eating the footrest. I would have so loved to see Idiot Jr. trip on his shoelace and plant his face !!!!

The best are the Stollen from Aldi. Made in Germany.

I have made Alton Brown’s “It’s a Wonderful Cake” recipe, but I stopped making it because people refused to eat it. It needs to be made early in November to be ready for Christmas.

I haven’t see a fruitcake in years, but sugarplums are making a comeback.

Although, Norm seems to be a fruitcake…

Two kinds of fruitcake: the one that was made with loving care by a family member or friend, and the sugar laden bricks, filled with more sugar in the form of candied fruit, extruded out by the food corp.

I must be one of the few people who LOVE fruitcake. That said, I don’t eat it only due to how high calorie it is.

technically, it’s suppose to be used as food… but since it’s making you all happy then what would be the problem. :j

you are all eating fruitcake wrong!! should be served warm with a little butter on top…growing up as a kid my folks and i would spend first 2 weeks of December in Florida (we lived in RI) and would drive and every year coming back, we would make a detour to Claxton GA, to buy fruitcakes for our relatives…Claxton Fruitcakes were not yet available in stores…and we also ate a couple while we were there, fresh out of the oven…warm them up and discover the magic!!

All this talk about fruitcake in comics these days is making me crave fruitcake.

Forget the artificial-tasting stuff with the gummy candied fruit and get real date-nut cake. It’s dark and rich and delicious, and it’s not a brick. Just dates, walnuts, and moist, not-too-sweet cake.

I grew up eating Claxton fruitcakes. My Ukrainian cookbook has 12 or 13 fruitcake recipes in it. When I was a young newly-wed, I (before I ever heard that not everyone likes fruitcakes), I made those recipes for family for CHRISTmas gifts. No one ever told me they didn’t like them. so either I was lucky in that a liking for fruitcake runs in my family, or they were thrown out. The fruitcakes, not the family.

I’d give anything to have a slice of my grandma’s fruit cake today.

Most people don’t understand fruitcakes.

First you need to season it, preferably with either rum or brandy.

Keep it moist for a couple of weeks.
