I have a snarky comment but I was never one to have a made bed.

It seems like yesterday.

Make the bed, unmake the bed, make the bed, unmake the bed. Over and over and over again. Why? Another insanity, fertilize and water the lawn, cut the lawn, etc. etc. Sisyphus would be proud!!

It never ends! Make the bed, take a bath. Then next month you have to do it again.

New year, some old tyrannical slave driver who don’t know how to mind her own business… I mean who cares if the beds aren’t made. Kids have a life too, you know!!

You have no choice but to go on strike, kids. Be sure to get Wren on board.

Actually, making a bed as soon as you’re out of it is not the greatest idea. Better would be to throw the covers back and let it air out for a while – like after breakfast. Mom’s wrong!

The horror

Making your bed as soon as you wake up locks in moisture that we lose while we sleep, which creates the perfect setting for dust mites to repopulate. Dust mites are microscopic pests that feed on our dead, shed skin (yuck), and can even cause asthma and other allergies.

Yep, starts early. The older you get, the more you can just sit around remembering all the golden hours: ski school, fishing, riding the old snowmobile dad fixed up, learning to drive with the other kids in Driver’s Ed…

In my mom’s house the bed was made ‘before’ breakfast, as soon as I got up, before my shower.
