I’d step up on the desk and . . . then step down into his lap. Once the yowling stopped, I’d tell him to put his raise where he used to sit. A guy who will stand up for himself will find another job. Just takes some looking.
Halloween 2024: I went to the president of the agency that I work for (18.5 years) and asked for a $2.00 raise. I still haven’t heard an answer. He could have at least left a few weeks before and then sent me an email that said “no.”
