In my humble opinion, I feel kind of sorry for Eric Costello, the way he seems to be taking a beating (by quite a few, but not everyone) in the comments lately. Not an easy job by any means doing a classic comic strip like Tracy, I would think. Just think what if like Brooke McEldowney at 9 Chickweed Lane were to happen here. He made it so comments are no longer allowed on his strip. Could happen here too. Eric has his own style, and can’t please everyone. Yes it was slow to start, but has been picking up speed, little by little. Would you like more of those Minit Mystery stories? Give the poor guy a break! Think you can do better with the critics here? Is anyone being forced to keep reading this story? For the limited space allowed on a daily basis, it can’t be easy to do a story like this, with really rapid plot advancement. Try putting a full volume murder mystery novel in a daily space like this, It would take years.

Why does the governor look like George Bush in the last panel?

Nice to see the depiction of the governor is consistent. He was a total moron for caving into the mayor’s pressure and calling Totten to interrupt an important renovation project with a frivolous complaint and he’s still a complete moron for being more concerned with the food trucks than the publicity the mayor promised him for acting like a jerk.

Americans would never elect someone that stupid.
