It’s the weekend. The best time to do nothing.

Nothing doing

As the old saying goes …. I do nothing, but I do it in the morning, so my afternoons are – free!!!

I’m guessing Wilberforce likes to lie there and do nothing as well.

I today got my full DVD set of Sopranos. It was shown on TV last week but I missed a lot of episodes, esp the beginning. Also got Northern Exposure

I like Brutus’ idea. Especially right now when it’s so cold you don’t even want to look out the window.

It’s a complete waste of time.

I’ve been in a wheelchair since the first days of December, waiting for permission to start taking a few steps again at the end of January. It’s not pleasant to spend all day doing nothing. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, including my toes, that in ten days the x-ray will be positive and I can start rehabilitation.

Wilburforce, are you trying to talk your mother’s and Mother Gargoyle’s job from them?

Hey, Saturday morning cartoons are on, Dad. Why are you hogging the couch?

Nothing… I can do that!

I started yesterday, but didn’t get finished. So today is set aside to get ‘er done.

If lying on a couch all day is wrong, then I don’t wanna be right!

I wouldn’t mind doing nothing, but then people would complain that nothing ever gets done. :J

Attaboy Brutus, a good lesson for him to learn!

Brutus has his priorities right…

The thing about doing nothing is you never know when you are done.

There is always nothing to do, unlike something to do.

I think I was born to nap. It is what I do best.

Don’t worry Wilberforce, your mother will find your Dad something to do soon. It’s a law of physics. An object at rest remains at rest until being acted upon by another object.AND the other law, “wives abhor a resting husband”. Newton didn’t say that one but he would agree…..

Well, after working so hard all week, Dad deserves to take it easy….☺️

My mother asked me once why I get up so early. My father jumped in and said because it gives him a longer day to loaf.

“Pay close attention son.” This is a good father-son bonding moment. Brutus is teaching Wilberforce a critical Dad skill. Especially for a Born Loser. As long as he’s laying there nothing can go wrong – at least until Gladys or Mommy Dearest show up!

Idle butts make the belly grow.

I have never been able to lie down all day except if I am really sick. Even then, I will get up and move around when I can. I can spend a chunk of time reading, but I just can’t totally sit still more than 15, 20 minutes. I have to at least move a bit.

Depends on the reason you are idle.

And later on I’ll be taking a nap to recuperate.

Brutus didn’t say he was going to lie around and do nothing all dsy, he just implied that it wouldn’t be the worst way to spend his day. But of course he knows that sooner or later Gladys will have some chore or task for him to do.
