Let’s just compromise and call it the Gulf of Cuba. Mexico and the U.S. both have an interest in the Gulf, but Cuba is committed.

Not to pick too many nits here, but “People cannot go around and use different names for places” would come as a bit of a surprise to people in España, Norge, Italia, Deutschland, Ελλάδα, Bhaarat, Jūng-gwok, etc.
