    Trivia time: since we’re on the topic of wolves hunting mice in the snow
science has determined that wolves are far more successful if they are facing North when they pounce.

    It’s usually foxes who jump into the snow to get mice, I’ve never heard of a wolf doing it. It’s amazing to watch a video of foxes doing that, and amazing that they often can catch the mice.
