And then you remember them when you’re driving in traffic. One of “life’s little ironies” — like remembering that you needed to get toilet paper at the store just after you pull out of the parking lot or that your doctor’s office moved across town just as you park at the old building.
There once was a writer who put a pad and pencil by his bed, and went to sleep reciting “write it down, write it down.” When he woke up in the morning he found he had written on the pad “write it down.”
I always remember something like this when I’m right in the middle of doing something else and when I finish doing “something else” I forgot what I had .
That is what one’s cell phone is for! I use it more to keep track of things I need to remember than anything else.
(Text husband at night to come down for dinner. Call mom once a week. Maybe 2 calls a month to clients. If separated in a store – rare these years – will text him to find out where he is. I figure it costs me a fortune per call/text!)

Tell your home assistant, so some megacorp can monetize it by the time you wake up.

Light bulb went out due to lack of energy. That’s why it’s so hard to drag your butt out of bed in the morning.

Unfortunately, you remember that you had a great idea. If only you could forget that you forgot.

Sort of like trying to remember something all day, and guess when it suddenly pops into your head.
