I’m in Canada. Our stores give the guys proper cold weather gear. Of course, if it’s -36°, the traffic is a bit reduced anyway, so the don’t have to go out as often.
Why do I read this strip on my day off? I don’t want to think about retail work today. That said, it’s a funny strip. I wish I worked with someone as funny as Tabby.
Maybe they should institute a cart policy like Aldi’s. You “rent” a cart when you first pick it up and get that “rent” returned when you bring the cart back.
I always leave a cart by the handicapped spaces (appropriately placed of course so as to not block the space) as do others. Many people with unsteady gaits use the carts as a support for walking. The signs are very appropriate. When I worked in a pediatric ICU we would get a least one child per year who took a header out of the shopping cart and fractured their skull.

Interesting sign. In the bakery department they promise to make a pie out of them.

That’s why I get one that’s outside and bring it in myself. Usually they have the best wheels!

Tabby said, ‘He could bask in the warmth of your personality, but that could take forever.’

I’ve always worked on using a basket – if I can’t carry it then unlikely there is enough space at home for it (or money in wallet)
I thought unattended children would be given an espresso and a kitten/puppy.

They don’t have a microwave large enough so it’s going to be a while. Time for popcorn.

It’s chilly outside and in.
