This is a running gag in the 5K community.

In the metric system, there are 2 uses for the letter “k”. In lower case it’s the symbol for “kilo-”, meaning 1000 of the base unit, thus kilograms, kiloseconds (not used much), and kilometres. In upper case it’s the symbol for “Kelvin” (named after a physicist who discovered a lot of what we know about heat and temperature), where each increment of 1° Kelvin is the same as 1° Celsius. In neither the horizontal resolution of TV screens (3840 pixels ≈ 4000 pixels = 4 kilopixels) nor the distance of certain running events (5000 metres = 5 kilometres) is the use of the upper-case K (temperature) justified. Which doesn’t seem to bother people in the USA in the least.

Trouble is, you almost have to see the cell tower for best quality pixel latency, or whatever.

There’d be a run on them.

The 4K Ultra. I guess that is better than the MK-Ultra.
