    Then

..(regardless of all other ‘clues’), I must not be a ‘plugger’ because I have never received ‘birthday greetings’ from any of my ‘health care professionals’ ! ! ! !

My dentist called the day before my appt and informed me they are no longer accepting my insurance. I got a new one. They sent me Christmas greetings even though they knew I went elsewhere!

I only get them from the insurance companies. They say

“Happy Birthday and all that jive,

we’re just amazed that you’re still alive!"

I am always suspicious of the ‘Get Well Soon’ cards from my Term Life Insurance policy agent.

Not so much health care providers as loyalty clubs and life insurance vendors.

I have a financial advisor that sent me sugary fatty treats for my birthday for a couple of years when I was trying to lose weight after diagnosis of prediabetes. Sheesh.

My sisters send me a text message when it is my birthday. My 95yo mom (who actually used to work using a main frame computer near the end of her accounting career) will telephone me and sing happy birthday to our answering machine.

My husband and I will have our usual “discussion” about “NO! Really I don’t want anything for my birthday” (Well there is, but he cannot prevent the holiday of Halloween from being forgotten about and ignored.) And we will we go out to same Asian buffet we go to once every week and my birthday will be the day we do so that week.

I hate my birthday – it is the day not the years I object to.
