“So, what brought you to the drummer corps?” ….. “I needed the job. My girlfriend got a pregnancy test. It’s costing me a fortune to keep that rabbit on life support.”

"Category:Paintings by Albert Edelfelt" Wikimedia
(syntax supported by the Google, Bing, Yahoo, Ecosia, and Brave search engines) in the browser address bar (or search for it using one of those search engines) and choose the first Wikimedia Category: found and once there find the text string marsch, and click its link for info and links that point to more info (perhaps best viewed by the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers, which can automatically translate most webpages if necessary) about this painting.
Again, a larger strip image is shown by (Ctrl- or right-) clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s MASTERPIECE #3462 (February 17, 2025) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment, and using the dropdown menu (even larger, if you trim what’s after .png from the URL). I have added a comment there pointing to the blog entry with my comment pointing to info about this artist I used to point to here. So far, 9 works by him have been used here (10 times, including a different caption repeat), the February 11, 2025, strip being the prior.
Someone help me out: What are the cartridge-shaped things on the drum straps? Pillboxes? Toothbrush holders? Pez dispensers? Place to store drumsticks? Tinderboxes? Coin stackers for tips? Binoculars? Whistles for the train effects on the blues tunes? Small portable tubular bells or wood blocks?
Just wait ‘til the new secretary of defense sees that cross-dresser wearing the Norma Shearer turban instead of a top hat… they’ll be drummed out of the drum corps.

/// Here’s the March of the Pori Brigade,
behind boys (and the drums that they played).
Their fight, to the Finnish,
would later diminish
Sweden’s Kingdom, when Russians invade.

With Duct Tape on their shoes
How could the Finns possibly lose?
They thus did avoid defeat
Through frostbite agony of their feet
(My rude comment please excuse)

We’ll “Invite” Canada to be,

forcing Continentals to flee.

The effect of drums coming at them didn’t scare the enemies, so the Scots invented the bagpipe.

On the other hand, they might just have been shot in the hat, and are waiting for the plume to heal.
