I live in a condo (which requires having an HOA). They are actually performing a necessary and legally required service. But HOAs for single home neighborhoods? Nope. I would choose a different place to live.
This is a flashback, for me. I don’t know how many places do it, but, I was a member of the school patrol, in 7th, and 8th grade, and we had a while belt we had to wear. This was in 1972, and I still have the belt (and, ironically, even though it’s still folded, I still remember how to do that, as well).
Jaywalking? Isn’t hat some comedy crap like the ludicrous concept of a Home Owners Association? The online descriptions remind me of the tales of Blockwart in Nazi-Germany or of the Stasi in Eastern Germany.

Oliver, give Tammy your crossing-guard belt. She can wear it as a g-string. If it would even fit on that butt!

My daughter got in trouble because the roof cover over her hot tub was the wrong color. Glad she didn’t live there long.

If we could see the flip side, they would have targets on their backs. :)

I’m sure they’ll be getting a lot of one finger salutes.
