If you would choke it down the first time around, you would not get a chance at a second time. Did you ever think of giving her a cook book with pictures? You would at least know what good food would look like.

How can they be leftovers if you didn’t have them the first time?

I thank the stars the missus is an excellent cook and she’s especially good with Mediterranean dishes since she worked in the Middle East for nearly 20 years as the Major Domo to a huge mansion owned by a famous painter. That ended when Covid came.
