If anything, I think Annie is being a good influence on the other patrons.

Aw, that’s a cute scene, even if Annie’s likely milking that guy for all he’s got.

..on a semi-related topic ,after I first saw Jaws I wouldn’t even go into a swimming pool…I had heard of pool sharks…

Dear Readers, I’ve noticed through the past many weeks that the number of “Lila” subscribers keeps going down instead of up and I would love to hear from anyone who’s considering no longer reading “Lila” about why. Your small amount of time would be very helpful for me to improve the strip and get it closer to what people want. I’ll do a summary on my blog. Thank you for your suggestions! —John

@ JWF – I don’t know if this makes a difference or not, but I’ve often been reading it on my phone. There is a comics site I link to, but I’m pretty certain it isn’t GoComics. Hence one reason I haven’t left many comments lately. (If you can do this on the phone please laugh all you want at me – I’m a luddite)The strip is great!! It’s one of my absolute favorites. Regarding Annie being in a bar - if Lila is out getting crocked then yea, it is wrong. If Lila is just have a couple of drinks and Annie is safe, nothing wrong with it. These are Annie’s kind of people.

AND – if it means the difference between losing your mind as a parent and getting a little help/reassurance …. then yea, Annie’s fine.

3hourtour: By the same principle, you can’t go by yourself because of the lone sharks. Oh yeah, we are supposed to call the “payday lenders” now, like the corporate media does.

JWF your strip is great. Don’t worry about it., you are doing a great job. I know I do not post all the time. Has nothing to do with the strip, it’s just I don’t have anything meaningful to say.

JFW this is the first time I’ve posted on this site, because as sassy1 said, I usually just don’t have anything meaningful to say, but Lila has become one of my favorite strips of all time. I find it funny, warm, and an honest slice of life. The addition of Annie to the strip has made it even better. Keep up the good work!

JWF, although I don’t make any comments on this strip, I love reading it. Love to see what Lila’s up to and what she’s getting herself into next. As has been previously said, Keep up the good work!

JWF I’ve never commented before but I read “Lila” faithfully. I’ve even recruited some of my gal pals to read the strip. She’s so much like us or people we know that we’ve often wondered if you’re peeking in our windows at night lol. Please keep it going…

The meaning of Lila is one of my two very favorite comics (The other is For Heaven’s Sake).

You’re NOT helping. LOL. Thanks, everyone, for the compliments. I really appreciate your kinds words. They’re such a boost! Of course, I didn’t hear any criticisms, but faleshia did make me realize that it’s hard for someone new to catch on. Perhaps that’s what I should do with my blog. Hmmm….

Although I haven’t subscribed, I signed up to GoComics to tell you I have been reading for more than a month now. If I miss a few days I always go back and read the ones I missed, too. I like the characters and the sarcasm / cynicism! I just haven’t subscribed because I get too many emails already – I dread signing into email a little bit but it’s fun to come to this site.

Holding the cue that way, at such an angle, and with no bridge made with the hand, generally causes rips in the felt. More believable would be the guy introducing Annie to the game (Where did she pick it up?).

@JWF – I love this comic as well, although I don’t leave comments regularly. The characters are funny without being cheesy, and the storylines are fast paced and interesting. Not sure what suggestions/constructive criticisms to make, but I’ll keep it in mind as I read over the days. What do I need to do to subscribe to help numbers? I come directly to gocomics.com and read the comics here rather than getting them via email or cell, so does that change things? If anyone can provide steps on how to subscribe, please let me know (I’ll try to ask again tomorrow because I know I’m late today). Thanks!

JWF, I recently began reading this strip and I love it! I look forward to the summary on your blog. Please let us know where we can access it. I read other comments that let me know your dad is ill and that you also work full time. I can wait on the summary, you do what you need to do. Will add your family to my prayer list. God bless and keep you all.
