Clerk: Okay, so normally, Trff, asylum can take years. But if the Dukester is willing to vouch for you... that's good enough for me! Especially given what he's got on me! Ha! Joking! Sort of. Full name? Man: Berzerkistan President-for-life Trff Z. Bmzklfrpz! Clerk: "For life"? Seriously? Love it! Man: Spoken like a Jew! Or a Kurd! Are you a Kurd? Clerk: I'm a kidder. I kid. How are we spelling Bmzklfrpz?

That’s funny, he doesn’t look Kurdish.

I’m glad Trudeau’s booting some behind regarding racism. Racism of any kind. But in this case, more against Jews. I’m glad because even on this supposedly “liberal”, supposedly “tolerant” website there appear some “ambiguous” remarks, such as the one from Ather, last strip. It can be taken either way. And that’s just not responsible for Ather, nor can we goyim (gentiles or non-Jews) tolerate even ambiguously racist commentary..Yes, I’m angry. We can’t expect those few Jews who live in America to defend themselves all by themselves. That’s absurd. We goyim have to help defend them, because we number so many more than they do and because toleration of racism breeds more and more and more..Believe me, Hitler, during his rise to power in “liberal”, “tolerant” Germany of the 1930s had nothing, repeat nothing, on the American skinheads, the American Nazi party, the KKK, etc. I lived for a decade in eastern Washington state, which in some ways is a hotbed of “conservatism”. But in that case “conservatism” is a word-cloak for racism. Face it!

I’m 1/8 Jewish. Now enough with the long rants — oy.

That is an urban legend. There is no record of immigration officials changing the names of new arrivals. Immigrants who changed their names did so voluntarily, usually upon becoming US citizens. There is a section in the citizenship application that allows you to change your name.

Sometimes, when someone asks, “Is anyone here jewish?” it’s because he’s jewish and needs a 10th man for a minyan or Jewish prayer quorum.

I can relate to this guy – I’ve got 6 pens/pencils etc. in my shirt pocket, and I don’t even work for the gummint!

I an not comfortable with this. It is firming up a stereotype of a Muslim, eastern European as a disgusting, anti-semitic anti -Kurd grott. There are of course anti-everyone, but the stereotyping should be avoided?

This is EXACTLY the type of immigrant we need to expedite into this country – in the name of diversity, of course.

GT doesn’t miss a chance to boost those who rule by apartheid. Like others in mainstream media, he knows which side his bread is buttered on. It’s GT’s job to portray as victims those who rule by apartheid. Thanks to the propagandizing that GT and his peers continually carry out, Americans have little understanding of the evil that their taxes support.

@leftwingpatriot Yes, if the immigrants knew enough English, they could change their name on the form. But many didn’t know any English at all, and the people who worked at Ellis Island sometimes made jokes out of changing their names.A few people have told me their ancestors changed their name not long AFTER they came in through Ellis Island, when they had learned enough English to know that the name they were given (“Moron,” “Douchebag,” etc) was a joke.

My grand-parents emmigated from Kiev. I was born in the USA on June 8, 1943. I joined the Army just for that fact alone. Too bad too many Jews living in Germany thought they were safe because they were good Germans.

I sometimes ask people I meet (when the subject of Jews is raised) how many Jews they think are in the world today. The range of answers are between “30 million” and “250 million”.
No one has ever come close to the actual number; about 16 million.
I bring this up because the answers I get reflect – at best – ignorance of the impact Jews have had in world history, or – at worst – deep seated fear/hatred of Jews threatening to take ove the world. Of the latter, I still hear and read about Jews conspiring to bring down the World Trade Center on 9/11; of Jews being the driving force behind the Tri-Lateral Committee, of Jews owning the banks, the newspapers, Hollywood, the White House, Congress, etc.
Perhaps some of that fear is because Jews were – and are – so prominent in winning Nobel Prizes, Pulitzer Prises, Van Clyburn contests, etc., etc.,
But mainly, I think, the fear is due to the unrelenting ability for Jews to survive every genocidal attack visited upon them by Idol-loving, Jesus-loving and Allah-loving people throughout history; all of whom swore that they were peaceful-loving religions and societies. When you need someone to blame, blame the Jews! After all, they won’t defend themselves, have no standing in our society, and will comply with anything we tell them or do to them.
This has been the tread of intolerance that links generations and crosses borders and languages. Ironically, when Jews DO defend themselves (read: Israel vs. Arabs), people get even more indignant and say, “See, those pushy Jews!!”
Trudeau has, once again, nailed it when it comes to unmasking the hypocracy of the gentile world through this “President for Life” Trff Bmzklfprz.
Whenever I read about Hitler, Stalin, Ceaser, Nasser, Father Coughlin (look him up), Mel Gibson, John Galliano, the KKK, or a host of other losers, I think about the poem “Ozymandias” by Percy Bysshe Shelley.

So whose space-clogging diatribes don’t annoy you?
For the hardest-hitting attack on racism you’ve ever seen, read Ayn Rand’s article “Racism” in her book “The Virtue of Selfishness”. My favorite part:
“Racism is a doctrine of, by and for brutes. It is a barnyard or stock-yard version of collectivism, appropriate to a mentality that differentiates between various breeds of animals, but not between animals and men.”

Why do I have the feeling this guy has dealt with… What’s the best way to say this…?.Oh, yes! He’s dealt with similar cases such as this.

Going to have to disagree with you about his religion. He comes from a place called Berzerkistan. Show me one country with “stan” that isn’t a Muslim majority country. His sworn enemy are the Kurds. Kurdish areas are all in Muslim majority countries

I’d say one shouldn’t speak for another group if they say “No one asked you to,” but no one asked me to, so I won’t.

One of the few stories my father told me from WW 2 in Germany: Late in the war, going past a bombed house. A man came to them saying “Your bombs killed my wife!” My Dad told him “If you hadn’t said ‘Heil Hitler’ none of this would have happened”.
TheSpanishInquisition about 13 years ago
@adfogg — Adolf Hitler promised restoration to a dying economy and a weakened national image (not too far from the Tea Party’s promise, I might note). And, for all the average German could tell, he was delivering on that promise. By the time the Germans found out the truth, it was too late. Besides, how do you even know this German was a Nazi supporter?
DylanThomas3.14159 about 13 years ago
The generalized argument that the average German in pre-war Nazi Germany didn’t know what Nazi atrocities, under Hitler’s tight control, were going on is BOGUS. Just as it was for the “higher-ups” arguing at Nuremberg. Born in 1940, I grew up in Michigan (beginning from eight-years-old; before that, Texas). Beginning around 1948 in Michigan German refugees were pouring into the great State from Detroit, which was a deep-sea port. I knew many of them because they were of the same church, and our church found jobs for them and helped to integrate these German people into our church society. And I can tell you, THEY KNEW..And many of them were still arguing in favor of Hitler. One told me: “I heard him speak. He was like a god!” It takes awhile, you know. Another: We lost only “because we were fighting a two-front war.” I.e., not because Hitler was a stupid “war president” who started the war and who, unlike Roosevelt, micromanaged it. Another: “How many Jews can you fit into a Volkswagen? Two in the front, three in the back, and six million in the ash tray. Ha ha ha ha ha! Get it? Six million in the ash tray!” (And he was one of my best friends. Later on I dated his gorgeous blue-eyed, blond-hair sister.)

Many years later, I was married and living in Sunnyvale, CA, and working at a strip mall in Santa Clara. Next door was a wine shop owned by a German lady, a number of years older than I, who became a good friend of mine. She was in fact a German who had lived through Hitler’s rise to power, through the war, and stayed on AFTER the war in Germany and had been herself a Nazi in Germany. (She immigrated to America only years later.).There to endure the Allies’ “re-education” program designed to wean the German population AWAY from Nazi propaganda. Here’s my point: She told me in all seriousness and all honesty (and she was a good, decent person).: .We really didn’t like it (the re-education program). It was too much for us. So we just “pushed it aside” and, essentially, ignored it..By the time I got to know her, she was no longer a Nazi, of course. She was a loyal, patriotic American. And yet she was honest enough to admit to her Nazi past, and to the years it took to wean herself off of that pernicious, racist philosophy of life.

The way we abuse immigrants we’re lucky they don’t take their business some where else.
I’m an Army brat, conceived in Germany, born in VA, by the time I was in the 1st grade I had spent a 1/3 of my life in Vietnam (59-61). After my folks divorced, my dad married a German national. My new *step*grandfather was a Wehrmacht veteran of Eastern Front. Erich was fighting in Russia for 2 winters (41-42) until he became a casualty. He was at the “tip of the spear” the first year, Brest-Litovsk, Minsk, Smolensk, Moscow. There was a painting in his Stuttgart apartment of Napoleon at Borodino (last battle before the capture of Moscow), and he kept saying, “We went past Borodino.” He was with the group of Germans who were cut off in the first Russian winter counter-offensive, and had to be rescued by Heinz Guderian. After Erich was wounded in southern Russia he was put in a Volks Grenadier unit (Young adolescents, disabled veterans). WWII ended for him in Apr ‘45 when the car he was driving was strafed off the road outside of his base’s (Leibegarde Kaserne) front gate by a P-38. He crawled out of the car and went home, “Alles kaputt.” The irony is the base is now an American base, Kelley Barracks. When ever we went on the base someone would often say, “There’s where Erich wrecked the car”, and I would look around trying to figure out where that P-38 came from. My step-mother was born in March ‘46. In the same living room with the picture of Borodino, I remember her saying what a great guy Hitler was, protecting the frauleins from jewish sexual predators. I must have given her a funny look, because she said, "Didn’t you know?"
During the ‘72 Yom Kipper/Ramadan War the Israelis lost a lot of equipment at the Sinai Canal, and were resupplied with 7th Corp artillery. My pop was the XO at Kelley Barracks, and was in regular contact with his israeli counterpart, working to get the artillery back up and doing it’s thing.
Today, my pop is buried head to toe by his father at Arlington Nat Cemetary, Erich passed away a few years ago at the age of 94 and my stepmother is a US citizen, living in NJ.
Hell I guess that covers most of the bases today, Hitler, anti-semitism, immigration and Mideast politics. Hopefully no one mentions “The War on Drugs”

Bush Sr., having been head of the CI.A. had plenty on plenty of people, talking about varying degrees of power in the bully pulpit. Of course his father was in business with Hitler, & if you can’t kid a kidder, is it kosher to kill a killer?

It was all the more worthy for its succinctness.Power breeds arrogance, whereas empathy & wisdom create gentleness & true happiness.

@masterskrain; I did say yesterday that you pronounce his name Tffffffff (like a cat spitting) Z. Bm-zykl-fripits. The trick is to know which vowels to put where. (sigh) I hate to mention him in the same breath, but if you know Hebrew, that’s how that language works too – they only write down the consonants in most cases (e.g. for children they put in the vowels too – vowels are little symbols, like dots and bars, that go under the consonants).

and can anybody suggest who the Immigration guy is supposed to be? He looks like a caricature of a real person.

@dtpi; you express yourself very well.

Ha! @yellowcat, my family’s last name had eight letters, of which only one was a vowel, and I could spell it when I was four years old, which I was very proud of – it was the first and only word I could spell at the time.
