Coming Soon š At the beginning of April, youāll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Iāve never seen Opal on a computer before. This opens a whole new realm of jokes to come. Opal and her daughter can now communicate on Facebook together. Wait till Nelson is old enough to get his own Facebook account. Grandma will be watching him.
I very seldom get on FB anymore. Instead I am on Google + (G+) now. Really havenāt been there lately, too busy with life. Hhhmmm, maybe I ought to buy a Toyota!
@Lee: Not right or wrong, but it would appear youāre one of the few. My experience of + thus far is a glitzy but unoccupied mansion. Keeping my account there until the dust settles, though.
As for āLOLā, I first saw it here, but having Opal do the gag brings it to an entirely new demographic thatās probably unaware of what goes on in cyberspace.
I do fb and you can make secure to only ones you know then you wonāt hear from all those other you do not know. You can also turn down other and not accept them.
When I started on āthe internetā an old friend added LOL to an email. I couldnāt understand why she was mentioning the LOL or āLoyal Orange Lodgeā, especially when she was Catholic.
For all who donāt know, this is not and original strip. This was originally presented as a story on the NPR program āThis American Lifeā, if Iām not mistaken. Sorry, Mr. Crane, but I think you need to write your own jokes.
Opal comes from the age of tape drives and commodore 64s. She could probably write a program in basic. It would be best if LOL is discontinued. The joke in this strip is an obvious one. Easy for more than one person to create it. No plagiarism is necessary for it to be duplicated. I like it.
@Raspberryice54ā¦.you donāt āfriendā kooks, or people who you donāt know. People need to educate themselves about this type of media to know what and how to use it properly and safely. :o)
When I started out I thought LOL meant Lots of Luck. Ah, the old days when acronyms were unfamiliar unless you worked for the govāt or a libraryā¦ :o)

No need friending the kooks ā or if theyāre in your family and you donāt want to say no, just hide them.
