Wishing good luck to Blaze, Davey, Lizz and Sam and all the good guys! Don’t worry for Dick, he’s just seen something…maybe Panda’s rifle glinting in the shadows!

It looks like Lizz and Sam are now out of action while Fritz Ann and Leonard tend to them and Lee Ebony provides cover fire.Tracy has knocked out B-B Eyes and is looking around for more enemies. I am guessing Tess and Adonis are still with The Mushroom Lady.Blaze and Davey are trying to make it out the back way, probably the same way Teevo came in. Looks like Blaze still has her gun ready in case she needs it.Panda has “Old Mossy” ready to take down Tracy. Let us all hope he is a bad shot. I hope he is using slugs and not shot.

This comic strip has really come into its own. I think this story arc will be remembered as a true high point for years to come.

Hooray on 4 panels in a daily strip! Boo on the deus ex machina a.k.a. “old underground tunnel entry”!

I’m hoping Panda doesn’t blast Blaze and/or Davey, whether by mistake or on purpose (it’s not clear where he is or at what corner he’s aiming). Hey, let the SWAT guys handle the heavy lifting, now that they’re here!

BTW—Why is Panda sticking around? He’s been the most level-headed & business-oriented…the true Mr. Crime, in my book. Shouldn’t he just take the incriminating evidence & run (out an uncovered door he saw Teevo enter or out this sudden & convenient underground tunnel in his own building that he’s gotta know about…right?)

I wonder who will come around the corner and catch Panda’s fire. The sixth villain to fall?

great first two panels in todays strip… kassie survived so far, lizz is wounded, little face is ok, lee standing guard, fritz ann and a swat team member are with sam, doubleup is face down on the floor, on the floor, teevo is muerte vine chow, mumbles has taken three shots so far but his fate is yet to be revealed, pat patton is down, mushroom lady is apprehended by tess and johnny (THE MAN!) adonis, panda is waiting for tracy to turn the corner to get a shot off at him, blaze is leading davey towards an underground tunnel (shades of the tracy film with beatty… nice reference mike! lol), but i am afraid that it wont be TRACY to turn the corner, and instead ms. rize or senor mylar will take the shot from panda…all thats left is the tricky ABNER KADAVER! THIS is what tracy is about! i havent read anything this exciting since the angeltop stories back in the 70’s! (and remember, i started reading tracy back when big boy put the hit out on him. or was that after angeltop? HELP! lol)

They need to start a collection of this strip since last March as they did with Max Allan Collins’ work. Its time they started up on that again too.

The Hit on Tracy was from Big Boy. Angeltop was the first story after Gould retired.

The iconic four panels, wow. Can we keep them?

Just a personal note from me, and I’m not speaking for anyone else on the team.

This week, starting yesterday and running through Sunday, in my opinion, is the best work we have ever done on Tracy. I wouldn’t be ashemed to have it carved on my tombstone.

Two years ago on this day, our hero was recovering from the “thud” as the plane he was hiding in fell to the floor of the science museum..

    And you are there!

Mike should celebrate this story by taking the team to a good deli – and ordering Ruebens all around!

As Lizz lies in the field of fire

Under circumstances that sure are dire

She should repeat this wise refrain

“The mind is supreme, there is no pain”

Damn, that stab wound sure does hurt

But worse than that, it ruined her shirt!

Tracy’s a terror when on the prowl

Wait! Did I just hear him growl?

He raises his head from his latest kill

Knowing there’s more prey out there still

He’s very fond of Panda meat

So he looks for his favorite treat

    Blaze knows what she’s about

With her there’s never a doubt

She’s not one to lose her head

Even when those around her are lying dead

But if she wants to get out alive

A clever escape she must contrive

    Panda squints along the sight

In him there’s still a fight

Into the chamber he jacks a round

Was there ever a more ominous sound?

But he neglected the “flashbangs” and CS gas

Now he’s about to lose his …

Soon he’ll be lying prone on the floor

If only he’d listened to the Bobby Fuller Four

    Thank you, Knto999, Doc 1747G and Det.DD.

……while the introduction of great new villains as well as bringing back the old is great, and the storyline rocks, what really raised the bar to me is the great pacing of the story…..by using several stories-within-a-story, there is constant intrigue and suspense, rather than the “filler” material we’ve seen in distant episodes, which often really led nowhere (Mordred, Mr. Bribery, many more…) I’ve got to say, taking on a comic and improving it is good, but doing it with what in my opinion was already the best one out there……..whoaaaa, just totally awesome!!!!!

oh, and to answer a question, seeing as her husband and several others on the force had to base themselves at Tess’s BECAUSE of Teevo…..yeah, I’d think she would know who he is. Not everybody on the force, as you say…..but him, yes.

I was with everyone complimenting the great pace, characters, knowlege, that equals Angeltop, Return of Haf & Haf, Big Boy’s Hit, then it was dropped that Mr Bribary was filler? Hold on! The scenes with him and a ouijie board, the smoking cat, shrunken heads, Nay Tay, Uglie Christine, Matty Square and Bribary talking to his roses (and an interplanetary birth) are my favorite DT strips. I felt like Gould liked them so much he couldn’t kill them off, and when he did, aint comin back. The time we had with him fleshed him out as a villian to me. Perhaps we will get to see the same with BB Eyes & Davey Milar?
